What does PEARL stand for?

I see many medical reports where I work, and I often see things that I’m not familiar with. One such thing is the word PEARL. I see it quite frequently, but didn’t know what it meant. I did a little bit of homework and found out that PEARL stands for Pupils Equal And Reactive to Light. It makes much more sense when I see it on paper now.
