What is the correct plural form of crisis?

One of my coworkers, a friend, was writing a letter earlier this week and was having a bit of trouble with spelling the plural form of crisis. I told her I thought it was crises but she said the spellchecker didn’t like that so it must not be correct. Of course I had to come home and check it out. I am pleased to announce that the correct spelling of the word crisis is indeed crises, a fact that may be verified at dictionary.com. I believe that puts an end to the spelling crisis.
