Where can I learn more about the year I was born?

I like to learn things and I’m usually interested in learning more about when I was younger. Sure, I remember stuff after the age of four but they’re memories of childhood. I’m interested in learning what was going on in the world at that time. I found a site today called Information Please, which allows visitors to put in the year they were born and learn more about that year. I thought it was neat to learn that in the year I was born Medicare began, Miranda rights were established, the first Star Trek episode aired, the FDA said the pill was safe to use and Walt Disney died. Go see what happened in the year you were born. It’s an interesting website.
